What Business questions trouble you the most?

Ah the uncharted waters of the business world. In an ever changing world the business model seems to evolve for some, and others stay quite the same. Depending upon your industry, there is much that has been learned from experiences in failure as well as success. I certainly have had my fair share of both, but the lessons learned are the ultimate prize of each of those adventures.

  2. Ebay can be tricky, but there is a quick legal explanation for all of this.

The bottom line is.........Ebay does not issue 1099 statements or report anything to the IRS so technically it is easy to fly under the radar as an official business.

However, if you are deriving most of your income and operate it as a day to day business, that is a completely different story, and it would be smart for you to declare it as a business.

The IRS taxes only profits, yet offers breaks and refunds for expenses....ie: shipping, labor, etc. The benefits you will gain if operating as an official business could be huge.

But to answer your overall question: Keep it a side hobby and you will have a beautiful......so far........untaxable side income.

  4. I have suffered under the same consequences friend.

My best advise is to not line up like the rest of the sheep. Sure.....put your 50 or so resumes out there, but the bottom line is we are all suffering in this economy......to include businesses. Job boards charge money, and with over 600 people lining up at career fairs, you are just as likely to find squat there. My best advise to you is to utilize the internet for it's information sources and not it's business purposes. Blogs are the way to go. Many people have created unemployment blogs, where they talk about jobs which are not on Monster.com and the like. Such insight is often overlooked and seldom taken advantage of. Take a look by typing your area ie: Baltimore, etc. and Unemployment Blog, and see what you get. I think you will be presently surprised.

  6. I have enabled and linked Google Analytics to your site. Google Analytics is an absolutely 100% free and 100% essential tool that every website.......at least everyone I build, must have. I will send you all passwords and info that was sent to Cheryl so you too can track your customer base.

Google Analytics allows you to view not only how many hits you are receiving, but also time spent on your site, how many pages, how many customers are getting kicked off your site from a broken link, and exactly which city they are actually in while viewing your material. It's absolutely amazing, and allows you the freedom and accountability of having an entire marketing team at your fingertips. They even allow you to set your own goals and track all incoming and outgoing e-mails.
Enjoy It, Learn It, and sincerely master Google Analytics.
